The one that grew up together with me

Must have been wondering what has been growing with me.

A book by J.Countryman(2005) about Soul Matters For Teens. I've ever wondered what my life would be without this the help of this book. A simple yet not too much reading needed for this book and it tackles 40 of the crucial life issues a normal teenager face. This book was given to me since I was young and I've read through it a couple of times.

I really thank God for this book because it's not complicated and it's not boring kind of book so I used my free time to read this book and started to reflect on what has happened throughout my whole life. Whenever you experience circumstances, rejections, hatred and what not, instantly you will feel so much depressed and down. The key to it is to make the right choice and attitude. If someone chooses to be depressed and sad about it then obviously your mindset would go the wrong way but if someone chooses to stay happy and positive and rather think of the greener side then he/she would be see the world as a better place.

There are those hectic days when you wake up on the wrong side of the bed and not feeling right for the rest of your day and there are some days when you actually feel good and happy even though things may seem bad. Doing devotional daily with this book has helped me to gain knowledge on how to handle my personal life and what to do or what not to do.

I liked learning and gaining new knowledges. From the first chapter/lesson, I can see that the author really touched on every single aspects in life from the head to the toe. At first I thought that this book would be solely on young teens and some boring devotional book but in fact this book turned out to be a great book! I know that there are so many books out there that teaches you on how to handle your problems, achieving your goals in life and what not but this book particularly, speaks to my heart and mind about everything.

This book has definitely impacted my life and the author J.Countryman is an excellent author, his books on Soul Matters For Men and Soul Matters For The Heart.

Sometimes in life we definitely went through worst moments but we tend to forget who our God is and in the bible He said that "He will not leave us nor forsake us" and is also written in the book, reminded me on how great and awesome He is in our lives.

What have I learnt in a movie

Just not long ago, I've watch a movie titled "World War Z". Well, at this I would have not thought that this movie is the best but eventually after a few minutes later I've changed my mind on it. The movie is practically about on how a family survived a zombie apocalypse and how they managed to get the cure to heal the sickness, which is the zombies.

Anyway, I've wondered if zombie do really exist in this world and what we, people would do to escape from it or instead fighting against them? It's either they protect themselves or run away to the middle of the sea where no one is gonna be there and they're safe from the zombie apocalypse. And as for me, I would have hide inside my house and fire gunshots *even it's illegal in Malaysia* but it's my imagination on what I will do during the zombie apocalypse. I've watched The Walking Dead from Season 1 till the current one which is Season 4 and I fell in love with it because of the way of how they escape and protect their love ones from zombies.

This movie has reminded me also about family love towards each other and the importance of unity. Knowing the fact that Malaysia has no unity and yet if we're facing troubles in the country, everyone decided to blame each other for their fault and what not. Hence, we should find solutions instead of being so selfish so that we could prevent any bad things from happening.

Let's put the Malaysia problems aside, when I was small, I used to fancy and being the "huge fan" of these zombies because of their weird, ugly and sick looking faces but they tend to make me scared instead of some other Japanese/Thai/Chinese ghost movie but zombies are the one that really make me afraid of them. I've had this fantasy my entire life of living with guns and grenades and killing zombies. I've even dreamt about it and hoping it to be true in this world. *Maybe one?*

And this movie came about and I've always wanted to watch it because there are some moral values that you can actually learn from this movie which is the love of family and unity is important because we care for each other so much and we always try our very best to fix things back together.

Nevertheless, this movie reminded me on how I should do my part for my family, as a grandson, taking care of parents and grandparents is important as well as my studies and relationship with the rest of the world.
